I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;)) My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it. Practical: I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Electric Bass from BIMM Berlin and have studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston (Summer 2018( and Holland College in Canada (2019-2020). As a session bassist in Berlin I have recorded in many great studios with Grammy award winning and nominated producers and engineers. Apart from this I play for multiple artists and have played shows in venues such as Festsaal Kreuzberg, Columbiatheater, Lido, Badehaus, Maschinenhaus, Kantine Am Berghain, Privatclub and many more. Every genre of music knows a bassline, and I proudly take on that role with my bassguitar, double bass or synth-bass. I'm a bassist who gladly shares his love and passion for music with anyone that would like to learn. Sound and groove are the most important tools a bassist can have. In other words: it sounds good, and it feels good. I approach the instrument as a hybrid between double bass and guitar, which opens new doors when the two worlds meet. During the lessons I happily share my knowledge and enthousiasm for the bass, and create a lesson plan based off the student's goals. Ik ben afgestudeerd als docerend musicus basgitaar en heb als bijvak contrabas en piano gestudeerd aan het Conservatorium in Arnhem ( ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten ). Door de jaren heen heb ik veel bühne en studio ervaring opgedaan met diverse bands en projecten in binnen- en buitenland. De afgelopen jaren heb ik onder meer lesgegeven aan de muziekschool van Arnhem, Nijmegen en Apeldoorn en in mijn eigen lespraktijk. Ook heb ik als muziekdocent lesgegeven aan het Ichthus College Dronten. Ik geef basgitaarles, pianoles en les in muziekproductie en muziektheorie. De lesinhoud wordt grotendeels bepaald aan de hand van jouw muzikale voorkeur. We gaan aan de slag met het uitzoeken en spelen van nummers die jou aanspreken, waarbij we werken aan timing, sound en improvisatie.
